“I will do anything to make her MINE.” —Remington Tate

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington “Remy” Tate as vital as the air he breathes . . . and now he can’t live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman’s dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, Brooke is torn away from the ringside. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.

FINALLY! A book that has utterly quenched my need for some intense angst!
MINE is a completely stunning follow up – one that is equally consuming and just as sweetly gratifying as REAL was.

This is a book that so perfectly encapsulates intensity. The intensity of love, the intensity of each character’s passion and the way in which they both deal with the tumultuous and very real aspects of their relationship. The plot is full of surprises and I love that the passion and love these characters share is magnified, consuming and further explored.

Remy is a man still dealing with the fears that pervade his existence and still struggles completely accepting the unconditional love that Brooke provides. He such a gorgeously enigmatic character, flamboyant in nature and incredibly intense. He is a man who is as fierce in love as he is in fighting.

“Baby, the way you need me can only barely cover the way I need you.”

“You’re everything  I never knew I wanted.” He tucks back another tendril of hair behind my ear, his eyes a little too brilliant as he draws back. “And all mine, remember that tidbit.”

Katy Evans allows the reader to delve a little deeper this time into the truly horrific and heartbreaking experiences this gorgeous man has lived through, and this time I found Remington’s story to be even more heartbreaking and melancholy. And I am so completely and utterly in love with Remington, even more than I already was before.

In all honesty I have not read a more compelling novel like this in a very, very long time. The love between these characters was just so palpable as were the heartbreaking struggles they continually endured. Brooke is one of my all-time favourite heroines, and is a young woman who exudes such strength, compassion and empathy. It is her acceptance of the tumultuous nature of the relationship she shares with a fighter, that is heart-warming and makes her one of the most endearing characters I have ever read.

“I want you…All of you. Black and blue and any other shade you come in.”

Whilst REAL was a stunning, captivating and heartfelt story that I absolutely adore and love, Mine is a story that utterly sucked me in from page one and held me completely captive. It was just so beautifully and flawlessly written. The love between Remy and Brooke was captivating, as were the heartbreaking struggles they faced to attain the healthy balance in their relationship. This is a novel that made my heart race and ache all at the same time and is a beautiful exploration of the next chapter within these character’s lives.

This is such an incredibly written and phenomenal book that you must read. It is the honest exploration of love – its realistic and the tumultuous nature – and the struggles some face in life.

MINE is a novel that encapsulates pure and utter perfection. The perfect blend of love, angst, sex and a gut-wrenching tale of all consuming love that will leave your heart racing until the very last page. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
